OUR PROJECTS

Dews of Joy Volunteer
Dews of Joy’s volunteer initiatives bring care, companionship and practical support to different communities in need, including elderly residents, persons with disabilities and wider community groups. Through regular visits, hands-on service and participation in charitable events, our volunteers share warmth, build meaningful connections and help create a more caring and inclusive society.
ECO@Metta
Dews of Joy supports Metta’s ECO@Metta project, which helps young adults with special needs build employability, independence and confidence through hands-on vocational training. Trainees produce eco-friendly orange enzyme cleaners by upcycling discarded orange peels, with the products distributed to the community and sold online. The project has also expanded to include digital skills training, cyber safety, Tai Ji wellness sessions and Taiji Dragon Performance training, supporting trainees’ daily living skills, well-being and community participation.

TENG Gives Back
Dews of Joy – Teng’s “Teng Gives Back” aims to provide therapeutic performances for vulnerable individuals, including terminally and chronically ill patients, as well as long-term residents of community hospitals and nursing homes. The program collaborates with music therapists, focusing on evoking positive emotions, aiding the healing process, and bringing comfort and joy to those who cannot attend concerts.
PROJECT BREAKTHROUGH
Dews of Joy – Grace Orchard School’s “Project Breakthrough” aims to enhance the employability of young adults with special needs. This pilot project, in collaboration with industry partners, seeks to establish a self-sustaining school-based training facility, providing authentic work experience in a safe environment, better preparing students for external employment, and offering enhanced job support through employer collaboration.

HEADS-UPP
HEADS-UPP programme, is a 1-year community project that collaborates with social workers, the health team from National University Hospital, and preschools to provide comprehensive health and developmental screenings and support for children from low-income families. Within this programme, Dews of Joy – Care Corner’s “Healthy foods, for their good” aims to improve the nutrition of children from low-income families by providing essential food items not typically included in food ration distributions, supporting their health and development over a 2-year period.
HAPPY LITTLE
HEARTS FOR LIFE
Dews of Joy – KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH)’s “Happy Little Hearts for Life (HLHL)” aims to reduce the mortality rate and improve the quality of life for children with congenital heart disease by ensuring they live longer, happier, and healthier lives. The program addresses critical needs, providing not only timely medical interventions but also holistic care, including psychosocial support for both the children and their families.
